Specialist in Aviation Information

The flight briefing service is in the midst of an exciting digital transformation. The demands on how flight information is created, quality assured, and distributed are changing, and delivering accurate information is crucial for flight safety.

We are now looking for someone who wants to become a specialist in aviation information and be part of the journey towards modern and digital solutions where quality and accuracy are always at the center.

AIM Norrköping is part of Sweden's flight briefing service (AIS) and consists of 14 employees. We receive, process, and make textual and geographical flight information and flight data available for both civil and military aviation.

Flight information is published both digitally and on paper, and the work is governed by national and international regulations. AIM also delivers data to the European flight database EAD, the geoportal INSPIRE, and other users of flight data.

About the Role

As a specialist in aviation information, you will be a central part of a socially important operation where you contribute to how information about Swedish aeronautical infrastructure is made available to the outside world. Here, accuracy, structure, and collaboration are essential. You will handle information that directly affects flight safety while also contributing to the development of our digital working methods.

What You Will Do:

• Receive, verify, validate, and process flight information and flight data
• Store and manage information and produce products used by aviation
• Publish flight information, primarily digitally
• Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders

Does this description fit you? Then you are right for the job if you also have:

• At least a post-secondary education focused on aviation, or have worked as a briefing officer, air traffic controller assistant, pilot, or similar roles that LFV deems equivalent
• Good computer skills and an interest in an IT-based environment
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing

It is an advantage if you have:

• Documented knowledge from the aviation industry and aeronautical information
• Experience working with databases as tools
• Experience from a military air wing

Additional Information

The position is permanent with placement in Norrköping, and the role requires you to be on-site at the office. We may apply a 6-month probationary period.
